No batteries required! Simple instructions in plain English!

You say, tell me more, Mr. Eha? Okey-dokey! Here are a number of 600x800 b&w images you may download and install on your NOOK Simple Touch or NOOK 1st Edition e-Reader. It's really quite simple.

First download the image or images from the choices below to your computer. For example, if you're using Firefox, right click on an image and select "Save image as." Downloading images to your desktop will facilitate matters, but you may download them to your default download folder, too. Then follow these five simple steps.

1. Connect your NOOK Simple Touch to your computer with the microUSB cable that came with the reader.

2. Open the "Screensavers" folder that's already in your NOOK Simple Touch directory.

3. Create a new folder inside the Screensavers folder and call it anything you like as long as it has a one word filename. Here's a suggestion. Call your new folder FreddyPics or something like that.

4. Next drag-and-drop the images you've downloaded into the FreddyPics folder.

5. When you're done with that, go to Settings > Screen > Screensaver and select the FreddyPics folder.

Now when your NOOK goes beddy-bye (instead of completely off), it will cycle through this folder and use a different screen image every time.

From time to time I'll add more images.
